My husband came home with not so great news. He was supposed to give a bottle of red wine to a co-worker today. He had the plastic bag with the wine in the back seat and forgot to bring it in the office. Result? The bottle popped and spilled red wine in the back seat and soaked his golf shirt. Ughh, what a waste of good wine.

So what's the best way to get rid of red wine stains? Pour some good white wine on it. The white wine will neutralize the red wine therefore making it easy to lift the red color off your clothing or carpet. After pouring white wine over the stain, blot the liquid with a towel gently. It is important not to rub because this will push the stain into the clothing or carpet. Once this is done, use a regular stain remover and clean per the instructions.
