Cutting boards, usually the plastic ones, get food stains from carrots or other colored vegetables. You can clean these stains by using a lemon and salt. Slice a lemon in half, squeeze onto the cutting board, add some salt and rub. Let it sit for about 20 minutes then rinse.

If you have a cutting board that is made of wood, apply mineral oil after cleaning. Wait for two hours and apply another layer.

You can keep the cutting board from moving around when you're chopping veggies or meat by putting a rubber band around each end.

Thanks for this info Mama. I often use of steel scrubber to remove stains on my plastic chopping board. I didn't know that I need to marinate it first. LOL I'll try this one and I'll get back to this post.

    Have a wonderful day!!!
