If your household is like mine, then you too have a lot of scratched CDs and DVDs thanks to our wonderful and cute kids. :o) I've tried scratch removal devices and I am not satisfied with the results. While searching online for a solution on how to make my son's favorite DVD work, I came across this tip. It is worth a try before tossing it in the trash.

Place the disk on a cloth with the scratched side up. Wipe a small amount of car wax into the scratch with a soft cloth. Let dry for a couple of minutes. Buff along the scratch (do not go against the grain) using short and brisk strokes. When the scratch is no longer visible, wash the disc with water and let it dry.
