Buying organic produce is great but do you know that there are some vegetables and fruits that are least likely to contain trace levels of pesticides? Save your $ and skip buying organic for these products:
- pineapples
- bananas
- mangoes
- avocadoes
- kiwi fruits
- eggplant
- asparagus
- onions
- broccoli
- cabbage

*To see the list of produce that you should buy organic, see my post here.

Excellent list and thanks for sharing! The last 5 vegetables I can grow organically here but it's good to know when buying off season. It's also good to know about the produce that we can't grow. Thanks again!

Good info Mama Barbs. I'm buying organic that's why.

Why is broccoli and kiwi fruits in this list? I thought it's very easy for pesticides to get stuck in the broccoli and the thin skin of the kiwi fruit allows pesticides to enter the fruit?

Thanks everyone! Foong, I was also surprised to see broccoli in the list. The source for this list is the Environmental working group, I guess they tested all fruits and veggies, that's how they made the list.
