Two weeks ago, dh made me a new vegetable bed. He made one a couple of years ago but there is a time during the day when the shade of the tree is over it. So he decided to move it a couple of feet forward. I love my new vegetable bed. Instead of using whole tree trunks, which he used for the first one, he bought planks from the store. We also bought some Miracle Gro vegetable soil. This year, I planted three kinds of tomatoes, carrots and zucchini. I tried planting bokchoy two years ago but I had a problem with some insect eating some of the leaves. Right now I am looking for an organic pest repellent to use on my plants. Do you know of one?

I hope that my plants will survive when I'm away. I'm leaving for a month-long vacation and I'm worried that dh will be too busy with work to remember to water it. He's joining us after 2 weeks so I'm crossing my fingers that it will rain for a day or two while we're all away.
