I love the holidays. In my home, we celebrate Christmas and boy do we celebrate it. We still have kids under 10 so you can imagine all the presents they get to open come Christmas morning. With the holidays, comes the celebration of the season with families and friends. With these celebration, of course, there are lots of good food. I will need the help of some weight loss supplements if I don't watch what I eat during these times. I wish I have someone who lives nearby that can be a good walking or exercise partner. I really need to move.

It's the start of a new year very soon and that means it's time to plan family vacations. For the past two years, we've went abroad for our summer vacation. A year ago, we went to Europe for a month and last summer, we went to the Philippines for a couple of weeks. Now, my daughter asked us if we can just stay close to home this summer. She missed going to summer camp this year since we stayed longer in the Philippines. So probably this year, we will go to the Carolinas. I'm looking at some Outer Banks vacation homes. I think it's better to stay at places like these instead of a hotel. The kids will have more freedom and will enjoy our vacation staying in a house rather than cooped up in one hotel room.

If you're like my son, then you'd have a Nintendo DSi in your list. His Nintendo DS's hinge is cracked so it closes on him when he's using it. It's a prevalent problem on that old model, the other two we have has the same problem. If you're like me, then you'd have some form of fat burners in your list. Something like a new exercise video game for the Wii BUT nothing like the original Wii Fit game though which is pretty lame, in my opinion. I wish something like the Taebo series will be transformed into a Wii fitness video game, that will be cool. What's in your list?

If you're middle aged (uhm, 40 yrs young and up) and your mattress is more than 10 years old, then it is time to get a new one. When you get older, your body's pressure points are different from when you were younger and your old mattress has the old pressure points; therefore, you are probably not feeling well-rested after a night's sleep.
If you're younger, then changing mattresses depends on whether it feels uncomfortable even after you've rotated it, you notice sagging or there are lumps, you can hear the bed springs squeek when you lie down or you have allergies and your mattress haven't been changed in years (there might be dust mites or bed bugs in it).

I am thinking of getting space back in my son's bedroom. Right now, his TV is on one of those tv stands I got from the Bombay Company. I'm thinking of ordering a wall mount for the TV, just like the ones you see in a hospital room. We have an old TV in his room, no money yet for a small LCD or plasma, maybe someday. So right now, we just have to do with that. I'm just worried that it's going to fall off the wall.
